📚 UAP Glossary | 🔍 Remote Viewing
What is Remote Viewing?
Remote Viewing is a controversial ability that claims a person can perceive distant or hidden targets through consciousness. This concept was first researched at the Stanford Research Institute in the 1970s by American physicists Russell Targ and Harold Puthoff.
CIA’s Project Stargate
From 1972 to 1995, the CIA and U.S. Army Intelligence funded a classified project called Project Stargate, specifically researching the military applications of remote viewing.

Connection to UFOs
Interestingly, multiple remote viewers claimed to have “detected” using this method:
- Ancient structures on Mars
- Base facilities on the far side of the Moon
- Hidden extraterrestrial bases
In 1995, the CIA released an evaluation report on Project Stargate, concluding that remote viewing was “not proven to have practical intelligence value,” but some observation results were indeed “inexplicable by random probability.”
