1968 Walker AFB: UFO Tracked by Radar and Pilot Simultaneously

In March 1968, a UFO event confirmed by both radar and the naked eye occurred near Walker Air Force Base in Roswell, New Mexico. After base radar operators detected a high-speed approaching target, an Air Force major with over 1,000 flight hours was summoned to the radar room. He and another officer went outside and observed through binoculars a huge, cigar-shaped, silver-white flying object.

Radar data clearly showed that the target could instantly switch between stationary and high-speed movement—a flight characteristic impossible for any known aircraft in 1968. The final conclusion of Project Blue Book was “unexplained.”
