On the evening of October 11, 1973, 45-year-old shipyard worker Charles Hickson and 19-year-old Calvin Parker were fishing by the Pascagoula River in Mississippi, hoping to relax after work. Little did they know, this ordinary dusk would turn into a terrifying experience that changed their lives forever.

Around 7 PM, they heard a “hissing sound” and then saw a blue-glowing oval-shaped flying object silently land about 30 meters away from them. Hickson recalled, “I looked at it and thought, ‘This isn’t a plane, not a helicopter, nothing at all.’” Then the ship’s door opened, and three gray “humanoid beings” floated out.

These beings were about 1.5 meters tall, with gray wrinkled skin, no eyes, no hair, and no obvious gender characteristics—the most terrifying part was that their hands were split into two halves like lobster claws, yet they could move flexibly. They drifted over to Parker and Hickson and grabbed them with mechanical-like movements.

Hickson said he was lifted and taken into the ship, completely paralyzed and unable to move. He claimed he was placed on a “table” and scanned from head to toe by a device resembling a “giant eye.” After about 20 minutes, they were released, and the ship shot up into the sky and disappeared.

Afterward, Parker fell into a state of extreme panic, crying and trembling uncontrollably. When they went to the local police, the officers were startled by their genuine reactions—Deputy Sheriff Tom Huntley said, “In my life, I’ve seen many people lie, but these two weren’t lying.”

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office recorded the terrified reactions of the two witnesses. In the recording, Hickson told the sheriff, “Sir, I’d rather die than come here and make up stories.” The case was later investigated by renowned UFO researcher Dr. J. Allen Hynek and Dr. James Harder. After independent hypnosis sessions, both recalled consistent details.
