On the night of December 6, 1978, in the northern Italian city of Marzano, night watchman Fortunato Zanfretta received a strange distress call—but no one spoke on the other end, only eerie breathing sounds. He decided to drive out for a patrol, and that decision changed his life forever.

After arriving at a remote area, Zanfretta saw three massive dome-shaped spacecraft landed on the ground. He recalled that the entire area was bathed in intense light, and then he felt something pulling him into one of the ships. Hours later, police found him several kilometers away—in a state of panic, repeatedly shouting, “They’re coming to get me!”

This incident drew significant attention from Italian UFO researchers. Renowned UFO investigator Edoardo Russo took over the case and arranged for Zanfretta to undergo professional hypnotherapy. During hypnosis, Zanfretta recalled being surrounded by beings about two meters tall, with gray skin, no hair on their heads, and large black eyes. He described them as having webbed fingers and being able to float and move.

The hypnotherapist not only recorded the entire process but also found that Zanfretta’s memories showed consistency and coherence—the details he described never changed. Most astonishingly, under hypnosis, Zanfretta could even describe the complex machinery and symbols inside the spacecraft, details far beyond his usual knowledge.

The entire abduction series lasted four years, with over 60 recorded contact events. The Italian Air Force and police both investigated but ultimately could not provide an explanation. Zanfretta’s mental state was severely affected by these experiences, requiring long-term psychological treatment.

This case is so significant because it has extensive documentation, police reports, psychological evaluations, and hypnosis recordings as evidence. Unlike many single-event UFO sightings, Zanfretta’s experiences spanned years and were witnessed by third-party professionals.
