1975 Travis Walton Abduction: The Arizona Logger''''s Star Trek

On November 5, 1975, in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, Arizona, a group of lumberjacks were driving back after work when they suddenly saw a disc-shaped object emitting a bright light hovering above the forest. 22-year-old Travis Walton got out of the truck and approached it—then a powerful beam shot out from the craft, blasting him several meters away.

His terrified colleagues immediately drove off, but later reported the incident to the police. Initially suspecting murder, the police administered polygraph tests to his coworkers, all of whom passed. Five days later, Walton appeared at a gas station, claiming he had been taken aboard the craft and saw three gray alien beings.

His story became the basis for the best-selling book The Walton Experience and the film Fire in the Sky. Despite controversy, he passed a polygraph test, and the testimonies of his multiple coworkers were consistent.
