In August 1951, three electrical engineering professors in Lubbock, Texas (while chatting in a backyard) observed mysterious lights arranged in a V-formation moving across the sky. The lights flew in a precise formation at extremely high speed, completely silent.

The professors successfully captured multiple photographs with a camera—these later became the famous “Lubbock Lights” photos.

Project Blue Book Investigation

These photos were sent to the Air Force’s Project Blue Book for analysis. Although some analyses suggested they were birds reflecting city lights or aircraft, the three professors firmly denied these explanations. Blue Book ultimately classified the case as “unexplained.”
