Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer James Michaud was on patrol in the wilderness when he witnessed a giant cigar-shaped flying object hovering above the road. He attempted to report it via radio, but the radio failed, and then a strong beam of light shone toward him. Michaud lost consciousness and, upon waking, discovered strange burn marks on his uniform and boots.

The RCMP and the Canadian Department of National Defence launched an investigation, but no official explanation has been provided to this day.
