Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer James Michaud was on a routine patrol in the wilderness when he witnessed a massive cigar-shaped flying object hovering above the road. He attempted to report it via radio but the device failed, after which a powerful beam of light shone toward him. Michaud lost consciousness and upon waking, found strange burn marks on his uniform and boots.

The RCMP and the Canadian Department of National Defence launched an investigation, but no official explanation has been provided to this day.
