In 1977, a series of strange events occurred in the area surrounding the northern Brazilian city of Aracaju. Local residents reported being struck by mysterious beams of light at night, after which burn marks appeared on their skin, and some even experienced nausea and headaches. The incidents caused widespread panic across the city.

The Brazilian Air Force (FAB) dispatched Captain Uyrangê Hollanda, a pilot, to investigate. His team successfully captured multiple photographs of unidentified objects using a Hasselblad camera—a luminous object hovering over the jungle. Captain Hollanda was once hit by a beam of light and later released a large number of investigation files, making this one of Brazil’s most controversial UFO cases.
