Report Background

On June 25, 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a 9-page preliminary UAP assessment report. This is the first official UAP report publicly released by the U.S. government in history.

Five Categories

5. “Other”: Unclassifiable

Important Conclusions

“UAP clearly pose a flight safety issue and may pose a challenge to U.S. national security.”

The report specifically noted that some UAPs exhibit “breakthrough aerospace technologies,” including:

• No visible propulsion systems
• Extremely high speeds
• Anomalous maneuverability
